The chalice in this work symbolises love and joy we receive in living a fulfilling life that we can share with others through our actions and behaviour towards others. This work is spiritual in nature and was inspired and created from my own journey in understanding life and developing compassion and kindness to others.
Inspired by two friends sharing time together in my local pub. The booth offers the perfect place for two people to share each other’s company in a public place. The joy I feel from seeing others sharing one another’s company and sharing their life’s journey is very special and reminds me of the importance of connecting with others.
Created and inspired at my time as Artist in residence at Earlsdon’s Carniage Library. The work is directly inspired by the local community and view from outside of the library by on a Saturday morning. I transformed the people and environment from which I observed sitting outside, turning people into the joyful colourful charater’s I call Hopies.
The concept of this work is Humankind! we all start from the Womb and An Individual to begin our life’s journey, but we are not alone on this very unique and special gift and amazing thing called life! The Work is heavily influenced from my love of Aborigine Australian Art.
This work is inspired by the thought of an Individuals journey through place, time and imagination to understand themselves through life journey and all its different religious, philosophical and cultural diversity. We all live in a time where there is a melting pot of so many different understandings that confusion is inevitable. Fundamentally though the importance remains the same, the journey and the very moment that we inhabit at any given time. Our own path and actions that add to this rich ever growing journey is so important. Where will your Journey lead you?
So I created this work in response to my understanding and feeling how one feels overwhelmed with too much noise. It was inspired by my understanding and reading at that time into sensory overload and Autism. I didn’t realis at this stage that I too had sensory processing difficulties and that I too have extreme responses to sensory stimuli, something that I have become increasingly aware of and use as a strength at times following my ADHD diagnosis in 2020/2021. The work creative part of this work is also inspired loosely by Aztec, Mayan and Inca art and culture.
Created and Inspired from the Live performance by Polly Paulsma at Temperance Bar in Royal Leamington Spa. The art work features entwined lovers in the shape of Brambles and Briars. Love and relationships are not always flowers but how we hold one another through times of difficulty and pain. In a real relationship, Its hard to see where One person begins and the other ends, we are interwoven together in true love.
This Drawing was created from the Live performance by Louis Scheuer From his Original Song Lazy Moon at Temperance in Royal Leamington Spa.
The work focuses on the Lost love and faces that we present in public throughout the day, but really are in a perpetual state of Night inside, Unable to move on as if we are Lazy to do so, fearing that when we do that all attachment and memory will be forgotten and lost.
Created at Temperance, in Royal Leamington Spa from the live performance by Emily Curtis.
The Art work Image depicts Emily Singing and Accompanied by Matthew Playing guitar with a human fetus within in an Eye, bottom right hand corner.
Listening to the song made me think a feel about the potential that we all have as children and that childhood dreams and aspirations are always with us, these two Musicians doing the very thing they love, performing music live at a young age is inspiring and shows its never to late to be the child in your own eye and mind.
Inspired and created from the live performance by Lunar Keller at Temperance Bar, Royal Leamington Spa. This art work is focused on reflection and how we see ourselves through this reflection within the mirror and how we can make changes within our lives for the better and improve what and how we see ourselves.
Canyon was created and inspired from the live performance by the Charm of Finches at Temperance Bar, Royal Leamington Spa. Canyon has become one of my most favourite songs and transports me to a dream land when listening to it, it fills me with a sense of care and hope replacing the place of fear and sorrow that our dreams can take us at times. We are all vulnerable at times and no more so than in our dreams, Its a beautiful thing to not to be or feel alone and have something to hold onto and lift of together and fly over and out of our fears.
The original drawing on to a giclee print featuring a old map of the world. This Drawing was completed using pencil and fine liner pen. Featuring buildings and inspiration of travel and stories of the diverse culture and nations that have added to the rich tapestry of community in Royal Leamington Spa, Created on behalf of the Royal Leamington History Society.
Inspired and created from live performance of the song and same title by Will Wilde at the 2025 UK Blues Federation Awards held at the Stables in Milton Keynes. The Art work hit a very powerful reminder that we all can learn how to love and show that love to others within myself, I at the time was extremely sad when creating the piece and attending the awards following a break up of my own.
Art worked started and inspired from the live performance of The Swaps trio at the UK Blues Federation Awards 2025. The Art work features a figure standing, and in a state of lost love in a bright sunny yellow background. Holidays and places of sun too have folk feeling the blues, through heart ache and life’s trials and hardships.
This art work is inspired about love and the flow it as within our lives, a life blood and its loss are all featured within this work. We as humans are a social animal and to have a partner that we love and connect with, sharing times is so special and so painful when its lost.
Inspired and created from inspiration derived from bar staff member Issy at the Benjamin Satchwell, Weatherspoon in Royal Leamington spa and the Symbol that the musician Prince adopted in his career and as his title, due to myself watching a documentary at the time I was inspired by the jumper and its gold flecks worn by Issy at work at Christmas 2025.
Created to the amazing Latin style music of Manos Puestos at Temperance Bar, Leamington. The work captures the energy and flow of the music and overall emotive feeling that the musicians created. I was only able to hear the last few pieces of music that night as I was a late arrival but, upon hearing them, I was immediately inspired and energised; both body and soul!
Created from the Live performance by Zak Thomason, At Earlsdon Live Music event that I hosted and Created throughout 2023.
The Art work is all about the ending of a love and the slow process that this can take, as in the song.
Love is the most amazing thing and also as I really do know is so so painful when things start to change and slowly the connection parts due to difference or change of feelings by the other person, especially when you still love them.
I feel I am still breaking up slowly from the love of my life! can you relate?
I really hope you don’t!
Heart Breaker is a highly energetic song and the sounds and images that I feel from the music and performance have been a major factor of colour choice and image making in this vibrant piece. I have also focused on lead singer song writer Greta as the chief character within the image braking away from the heart that is being broken apart and shattered. Something I feel we all can relate to- I know I can.
