Inspired and created from the live performance of Filthy Luca New Year’s Eve 2022 at The Malt Shovel Inn in Gayden, Warwickshire. This is a cover version of the well known classic song by Nina Samone, and Sarah Allington-Clench on Vocals totally smashes it, with an energy that flowed through my senses to create this artwork of the same title.

The backdrop of the performance stage had wall paper that illustrated book cases and this was a key part to the works creation as much as the song, I transformed the lead singer into the spell maker and caster surrounded by spell books. A spell of promise and possibilities of all things yet to come in the New Year, though it’s not just a spell that completes these possibilities, but our own actions.
